Prepaid Settings

Prepaid is a pay as you go model, allowing clients to charge their accounts with credits in advance and consume them based on usage, where the payment happens before consuming the service and not after.
Prepaid payments should help your account to control budgets and manage spending.

General terms used in the Prepaid account settings:
  1. Uninvoiced Amount: The total amount of consumption that has not been invoiced within the stated period of time.
  2. Available Balance: The amount remained in balance of the account after charging payments, invoices and uninvoiced amount.
  3. Threshold: The value of  is the amount that determines when the recharge happens on the account balance. Once the account balance reaches the threshold amount the account’s Credit Card will be charged to top up the balance every time the threshold is met.
  4. Recharge Amount: is the amount of funds that should be recharged to the balance once the threshold is reached.
  5. Email alerts: An alerting email notification will be sent to the specified email addresses in the “Emails to be alerted box “ once the usage reaches the set limit.

The prepaid model works in the following:
The account will have a balance from which we can deduct the amount based on the client’s usage.
The client sets a recharge amount and a balance threshold based on their spending. Every day, we will check the consumption on their account and charge the amount that was consumed based on usage.
The available balance reflects the current available funds for the account; If the balance is below the set Threshold, a charge will be initiated with the amount set in the recharge amount. If the balance is above the threshold, there will be no recharge.
