Prepaid Settings
Learn how Maqsam’s prepaid model works, including account balances, thresholds, recharge amounts, and email alerts for better budget control and spending management.
🔍 Overview of Prepaid Settings
The Prepaid model is a pay-as-you-go system, allowing clients to load credits into their account in advance. Consumption is deducted from the balance as services are used, helping control budgets and manage spending efficiently.
💡 Watch this quick video tutorial for an overview of how to manage balance details in your account.
📊 Key Terms in Prepaid Settings
- Uninvoiced Amount: Total consumption not yet invoiced within the stated period.
- Available Balance: Current account balance after payments, invoices, and un-invoiced amounts.
- Threshold: The account balance level that triggers an automatic recharge. Once reached, the account’s credit card will be charged.
- Recharge To: The target balance your account will reach after an automatic recharge is triggered.
- Email Alerts: Notifications sent to specified email addresses when consumption reaches the set limit.
⚡ How the Prepaid Model Works
- The account maintains a prepaid balance from which usage costs are deducted.
- Admins set a Recharge To amount and a Threshold based on budget and spending goals.
- Daily consumption is tracked and deducted from the balance.
- When the balance drops below the threshold, an automatic recharge occurs to bring the balance up to the Recharge To amount.
- If the balance is above the threshold, no recharge is triggered.
