Reporting Engine

Maqsam's reporting engine is a powerful tool designed to provide insights into your call data. Whether you're analyzing agent performance, monitoring call volumes, or tracking customer interactions, the reporting engine allows you to customize reports to meet your specific needs. With flexible scheduling options and a variety of metrics available, you can ensure that you always have the information you need to make informed decisions.


How to create a report ?

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of created reports.



Step 4: Click on New Report, which will open the report creation wizard.
Step 5: Fill in Report creation wizard steps
  1. Enter Report Details, in the details section, fill in the following fields:

  • Report Name: Give your report a name (e.g., "Weekly Insights").

  • Send to: Enter the email addresses of the recipients (you can add multiple emails).

  • Email Subject: Provide a subject for the email that will contain the report.

  • Message (optional): Add an optional message for the recipients.


  1. Set Up the Schedule, by setting the following options: 

  • Time Zone: Select the appropriate time zone.

  • Frequency: Choose how often the report should be generated (e.g., Daily, Weekly).

  • File Options

    • Primary Key: Select a primary key for the report. When you choose a specific primary key, the data will be shown based on the chosen primary key.

      • For example, when you choose Calls as a primary key, the data will appear per call that has been conducted through Maqsam with the selected frequency. 
    • Template (optional): Choose a predefined template if needed.
    • Output Format: Choose between CSV or XLS formats.


  1. Manage Report Configuration. 

  • In the Configuration section, choose the metrics you want to include in your report.

  • You can add multiple metrics by selecting from the dropdown and clicking the Add button.

  • Customize Columns by adjusting the column name field when adding a metric or from the metric component after adding it. 

  • For each metric, specify the column name and other preferences such as field type,format,filter and aggregation.

  • You can delete or duplicate added metrics. 

  • You can reorder metrics by dragging and dropping them up or down in the list to arrange them in your preferred order.

Step 6: Preview the Report 

  • After configuring the metrics, click Show Preview to see a sample of the report.

  • Review the report preview to ensure all metrics and configurations are correct.


Step 7: Finish Report Setup

  • Once satisfied with the preview, click the Finish button to save and schedule the report.

  • Your report will now be generated and sent according to the configured schedule.



How to edit a report ?

Reports Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on Edit Report option, the report wizard will be open filled with the report details.  

Step 6: You can modify the report details, schedule and metrics. 


Report History Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on View History option, which will redirect the user to the report history page. 

Step 6: Click on ‘Manage’ to open its options. 

Step 7: Click on ‘Edit Report’ so you can modify the report details, schedule and metrics. 


Alert
You cannot modify the report's primary key; instead, you can create a new report. The same goes for old and custom reports, as you can only adjust the report's primary details. For further modifications, it's recommended to create a new report instead.


How to Download the Report Sent Versions ?

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.


Step 5: Click on View History, which will redirect you to a page where all sent versions of this report are stored with the ability to download each version.


How to Duplicate a Report ?

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on ‘Duplicate Report’,which will create a new report immediately and can be modified by you by clicking on edit report option. 


Alert

‘Duplicate Report’ cannot be performed on old or custom reports,it's recommended to create a new report instead.


How to Delete a Report ?

Reports Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on ‘Delete Report’, a pop-up will appear to confirm the permanent deletion of the report.


Report History Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on View History option, which will redirect the user to the report history page. 

Step 6: Click on ‘Manage’ to open its options. 

Step 7: Click on ‘Delete Report’ , a pop-up will appear to confirm the permanent deletion of the report.


Edit Report Wizard: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on ‘Edit Report’ which will open the edit report wizard.

Step 5: Click on ‘Delete Report’ from the kebab menu,  a pop-up will appear to confirm the permanent deletion of the report.


How to deactivate a report ?

Reports Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Switch the toggle to OFF beside the report title to change the report state.

Report History Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on View History option, which will redirect the user to the report history page. 

Step 6: Click on ‘Manage’ to open its options. 

Step 7: Click on ‘Deactivate’ option ,which will stop sending the report based on the configured schedule.


Edit Report Wizard: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on ‘Edit Report’ which will open the edit report wizard.

Step 6:  Click on ‘Deactivate’ option ,which will stop sending the report based on the configured schedule

.



Info

You can reactivate the report by following the same steps mentioned to deactivate reports.



How Does ‘Run Report’ Work?

Run Report is a feature that allows you to execute the report using the current data and configuration, generating up-to-date results. This option is especially useful for obtaining the latest insights from your data and immediately sending the report to the recipients on your list.

You can try this option by following one of the following paths: 

Reports Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on ‘Run Report Now’ option. 



Report History Page: 

Step 1: Log into your Maqsam account.

Step 2: From the top menu, click on Reports tab.

Step 3: You will be directed to Reports page where you can see a list of existing reports.

Step 4: Click on the kebab menu beside the report title to open the options menu.

Step 5: Click on View History option, which will redirect the user to the report history page.

Step 7: Click on ‘Run Report’ option.
