How to Stop Your Dialer from Going Inactive

By default, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers automatically place inactive tabs into a sleep state after one hour of inactivity, suspending all activities for those tabs. If the Maqsam Dialer tab enters this inactive state, it may disrupt essential functionality, such as delivering calls.
In this guide, we will walk you through a simple fix to ensure your Maqsam Dialer tab remains active at all times. We'll demonstrate how to update your browser's performance settings to prevent the tab from going to sleep, ensuring seamless operation and uninterrupted communication.

Instructions for Google Chrome

To avoid a site being deactivated, add it to your 'Always keep these sites active' exclusion list.
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click the three vertical dots and then Settings.

  1. On the left menu, click Performance.

  1. To the right of 'Always keep these sites active', click Add.

  1. You can choose to add from currently open sites in your browser or add them manually.
    1. If adding from current sites check the box to the left of the sites you would like to add and click the Add button in the bottom right.
    2. If adding sites manually enter the site address (https://portal.maqsam.com/phone/dialer) and click the Add button in the bottom right.

Instructions for Microsoft Edge

  1. At the top right corner of your Edge browser, click the three vertical dots and then Settings.

  1. On the left, click System and performance.

  1. Select the option Performance.

  1. Scroll down to 'Never put these sites to sleep' and click Add.

  1. Enter the site address (https://portal.maqsam.com/phone/dialer)
  2. Click the Add button.

  1. Once this is done, please fully close and restart your browser.
